MEET DR. JEFREDA R. BROWN

Dr. JeFreda R. Brown is more than a financial and business consultant; she’s an avid teacher and subject matter expert who helps people master the skills they need to achieve lasting financial wellbeing and sustainable businesses. As Founder and CEO of Goshen Business Group, it is her passion and life goal to help others develop and maintain solutions to achieve financial wellness.

 

With a Doctorate in Finance and an MBA, she is an entrepreneur and university professor who draws extensively on 20+ years of professional experience to bring both academic rigor and practical knowledge to every engagement. She excels at bringing complicated material to life so that anyone can conquer their doubts and take command of their future. 

 

A highly respected expert in business and finance, she has appeared on national, international, and local television and financial podcasts, radio shows, and various other traditional and digital media outlets. As one of a small number of Black female financial professionals in the nation with a doctorate in Finance, she is a role model for women and minorities everywhere. JeFreda is currently pursuing a Master’s of Real Estate degree at Georgetown University. Additionally, she is a Minister with a calling in Kingdom entrepreneurship and wealth generation and management. She has a ministry called Create Generational Wealth God’s Way®.

In 2010, JeFreda was chosen as the winner of the Black Enterprise Magazine and Porsche Cars’ Intelligent Performers contest out of over 300 entries across the country. JeFreda has been featured in numerous print and online media for various industry websites, television and radio shows, blogs, podcasts, and magazines including ABC News, USA Today, Yahoo Finance, US News, UpJourney, Staples, & Intuit Small Business Blog. She has been interviewed on ABC News Nightline, Fox News, Black Enterprise Business Report, More Money Podcast, Annie Jennings Podcast, and Bloomberg Radio. She is a featured contributor in the book, I Didn’t Learn That in High School: 199 Facts About Credit Scores, available on Amazon. She previously had a weekly financial literacy segment on FUBU Radio.

JeFreda is a Financial Review Board Member for Investopedia. She is a former Professional Advisory Board member for CHIP (Changing How Individuals Prosper). She is a former Chair of the Jimmie Hale Mission Board of Directors. She previously served as Treasurer on Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP)’s Board of Directors and WIPP’s Leadership Council. In August 2016, she was selected for National Small Business Association’s (NSBA) invitation only Leadership Council and appointed to NSBA’s Economic Development Issue Committee.
